This small and exclusive hotel in the proximity of the historic town of Arraiolos has created a new standard. A completely new building, it nevertheless assumes different aspects of the traditional architecture of the Alentejo region. Closed white volumes are opening up generously to private courtyards, whereas natural cork is used for ceilings and walls. The location on a sloping ground in an old olive orchard offers an amazing view of the old city. Every guestroom has its private yard, offering maximum privacy with a spectacular view. The central court evokes the structure of the ancient roman villa of the region, where orange trees and a small fountain contribute to a pleasant atmosphere.
Este pequeno e exclusivo hotel na proximidade da vila de Arraiolos estabeleceu um novo standard. Sendo o primeiro hotel de sua classe de construção exclusivamente nova, o projecto assume todavia diferentes aspectos da arquitectura tradicional. Os volumes brancos e aparentemente fechados revelam aberturas generosas para os diversos pátios, enquanto painéis de cortiça revestem bancos, tectos e paredes. A implantação num terreno em ligeiro declive, oferece uma vista espantosa sobre o olival, e a antiga vila na distância. Cada quarto de hóspedes tem o seu pátio privativo, o que lhe confere um máximo de privacidade e uma vista bem enquadrada. O pátio central constitui uma referência às antigas villas romanas da região, onde algumas laranjeiras e um pequeno repuxo contribuem para um ambiente agradável.
