With the project for the Maritime Control Tower, Rolf Heinemann started his long-lasting cooperation with GBA, by Gonçalo Byrne. Built on a newly constructed promontory in the mouth of the Tejo River, its slight inclination helped to lighten up the new construction visually, creating a dynamic movement upwards.

Carefully detailed and clad in copper sheeting, the tower has withstood the test of times, with little need for maintenance despite its exposed position.

Com o projecto da Torre de Controlo Marítimo, Rolf Heinemann começou a sua longa cooperação com a GBA, de Gonçalo Byrne. Construída sobre uma nova plataforma na foz do rio Tejo, a sua ligeira inclinação ajuda em aligeirar a construção visualmente, através de um movimento dinámico e ascendente.

Com uma cuidadosa pormenorização e um revestimento da fachada em cobre, a Torre resistiu ao andar dos tempos, com pouca necessidade de manutenção apesar da sua posição tão exposta.
